I'm not reading all 11 pages to see if it's been stated. But CoB I thought was Death.. anyways Dragonforce is like..extreme power/speed metal. So check out Demons and Wizards, maybe Falconer, Edguy.. Heavenly..all pretty good. Nightwish, After Forever....Blind Guardian ftw too.

If you pay attention to what real death metal vocals are, you wouldn't call Children of Bodom "Death".

Yes but Death Metal genre isn't ruled just by the vocals. His arent' as heavy I know this..but the lyrics, they music and the band's image kind of go hand in hand..although the latter doesn't always play a part.

Actually, the death metal genre could very well be named because of the vocals. Especially when you compare it to black metal, metalcore, grindcore. Many times, the musical background and lyrics can be fairly similar, but in the end the genres are seperated mainly through their vocals.

Well I just gave up on genres anyways cause everyone has a different opinion on them. So apparently Satyricon and Dimmu are no longer black metal.
